Tommy Hue Heafner

CROUSE – Tommy Hue Heafner, 72, of Dave Heafner Rd., passed away Sunday, Oct. 20, 2019 at his residence.  

He was born Nov. 11, 1946 in Lincoln County to the late J.D. and Etter Moree Elmore Heafner. Tommy was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Crouse and formerly ran Farmer Tom’s Produce. He loved farming and enjoyed playing cards.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Claude David Heafner, Jack Heafner, Margaret Ballenger, Bob Heafner, Peggy Neal, Frances Curtis, and Charlie Heafner.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Sain Heafner; children, Tamara Heafner Rhyne (Dean) and Jeffrey Leland Heafner (Michelle); grandchildren, Ashley Houser (Ethan), Adison Rhyne, Tanner Heafner, Carter Heafner, and Trevor Britton; great grandchildren, Annleigh Hudson and Mayleigh Houser; siblings, Glenn Heafner (Earlene), Linda Gilmore, and Carolyn Canipe; brother-in-law, Don Curtis; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family received friends on Wednesday, Oct. 23, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Carpenter – Porter Funeral & Cremation Services.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Oct. 24, 2019 at 3 p.m., at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Crouse with Rev. Rick Sloop officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
